Start Creating an Audience for Your Art

I saw this in my Facebook feed and thought it was worth a post.

I think first and foremost an artist should be creating art for themselves and not their audience; meaning that it's important to be true to your inner voice.

That said, if you want to earn a living as an artist, we do need to create an audience for our work. If you create great work and no one sees it you won't have the impact on people and sales will be minimal.
